The 4 Ps to Tackle Transition & Embrace Growth

Transitions are hard, but that doesn't mean you can't continue to live your best life and embrace your growth through the process.

Wellness check!

Are you taking care of yourself?

Job loss. Breakups. Career pivots. Loss. Mom-identity crisis. Pandemics. Change.

When we’re in the thick of change, real life adulting, and you know, just simply trying to survive this whole pandemic thing during arguably one of the most challenging times as a working parent and human in the world...it’s easy to get derailed and to feel depleted. But we can’t and we won’t let this season of life win. We’re better than that.

I’ve crushed a few career progressing conservations and interviews this week. And I know it has everything to do with allll the things I’ve been doing to set my mind and body up for success. So, friendly reminder: if you’re in the thick of it, and working hard towards your better future, KEEP GRINDING. Your time will come.

I wanted to share the 4 Ps I’m leaning into during this crazy time, so that I can continue to show up as my best self, and so that maybe it can help you too:

  1. PRIORITIES. Ruthless prioritization. Always, and especially when you’re in transition, and your “regular” schedule changes. Don’t let other peoples priorities become your own and creep into your schedule unless it helps you and where you’re going.

  2. PODCASTS. Whether I’m seeking clarity, motivation, and/or perspective, I dive head first into podcasts to help me process. Podcasts are the best busy people brain food, and the great thing about this buffet of learning is that you can find whatever flavor you’re in the mood for.

  3. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. Never stop learning and growing; both from a professional standpoint (are there skills you need to sharpen to get to your next level? Like for me: digital marketing and sales force trainings are on deck); and for personal growth (are there subjects you want to learn more about or hobbies you want to expand? For me, I’m diving into the works of Champagne). We should always be building our life resume. Figure out where and how you want to grow, and make the time.

  4. PERSONAL BRANDING SHOOT. Trust me when I say we all need this, especially when we’re starting fresh or reminding ourselves of who the eff we are! This can be executed with basically whatever budget you have to work with (more on that later). And it is such a fun an self-loving way to celebrate who you are. Plus, you can use the photos to update a LinkedIn profile, or on social media, or to reintroduce yourself to the world.

Show up for yourself, every single day, even and especially when life is hard.

xx, Danielle
